IMMORTALITY IN ATTARIQA
When man was created in this life and become so much occupied with its pleasures , he hated death and wanted to be immortal . He went thinking about a means which may keep him off death and mortality and keep him alive . Alexander the great was one of those unique who exerted great efforts to get the immortality . He did cover long distance and walked for years towards Maghrabstan to reach this truth for which he died and did not get what he wanted . Life was not devoid from the thoughts or attempts to be look for immortality , but all these attempts were failures till Al-Mighty Allah sent the prophet . Muhammad (P) with Islam explaining that man's immortality and perpetuity in both lives can be achieved by two ways :
First : Martyrdom for Allah sake : It is sacrifice the self for Allah's sake without any end whether personal or material : it is but to elevate the word of right . Man , thus , will sel his self , Al-Mighty Allah says ( Allah hath purchased of the believers their persons and this goods for theirs ( in return) is the garden of paradise) 1.
Thus , man will be immortal and will be alive in life and the other life , ( Think not of those who are slain in Allah's way as dead . Nay , they live , finding their substance from their Lord )
Second : Attariqa ( the worship) : while man is obsessed with life and its vanities , he hardly ever remembers death only when he grows old and feels the fact that he is mortal , but the thinkers – the followers of Attariqa- think about death even before it comes . They being doing worships , spiritual sports , religiousness , piety and avoiding life's vanities and pleasures . They do reach Allah . They can see the reality of immortality with their eyes . They become satisfied that they will not die . ( Behold verily on the friends of Allah there is no fear , nor shall they grieve) 3.
For who sees with his eyes will never be afraid later . he will not be sad . He will never care for hunger and thirst and life's vanities . He will never be afraid of other life because of what he has seen and the chance he has when he meets Allah for whom he exerts all his efforts . Allah – Mighty and sublime He be – has not created him in vain , ( Did ye then , think that wew had created you in jest , and that ye would not be brought back to us for ( account) 4.
And , ( What ! do those who do evil deeds think that we make them as equal with those who believe and do righteous deed ! that equal will be their life and their death ? It is the judgment they make ) 5.
He has seen life and the other with his eyes and reached the reality and immortality . Al-Mighty Allah says , ( And serve thy Lord until there come unto thee He that is certain ) 6.
The prophets and patrons are un-example for this , for their bodies do not decay , Also , our Master Al-Khaddhr –peace be upon him- whom Allah –Mighty and sublime he be- taught him the hidden –knowledge . He became alive till the resurrection . The followers of the way of the Sufism , who himself for Allah will acquire the supernatural ability insight and knowledge . In the holy Hadiths Allah says , ( My worshiper ! obey me , then , you will be like me when I tell something to be , it will be ) . This means he became immortal and alive . he cwill not befall to death , but to transform from this world to the other one . Al-Mighty , Allah says ( O Ye assembly of joins and men ! if it be Ye can pass beyond the zones of the heavens and the earth pass Ye ! Not without authority . Shall Ye be able to pass ! ) 7.
This power is the love of Allah and his prophet (P) and the perseverance to the remembrance of Allah . It is to contemplate Him and his features till he reaches the standing of great man and eill be dressed with the clothes of rights . Death therefore , will fade away and melt , for he is in embraces with the world of right and that right embraces him and he is surrounded by immortality and spirit .
